Khalifa and Saleem Gattan both were active in the music scene in Bahrain. Khalifa showed interest in repairing and building guitars, they found out that Bahrain does not have a proper luthier and shop that serve the needs of fellow musicians .

Pursuing his dream, Khalifa studied guitar building in order to become a certified luthier.
